Home Pastance Harp Bagpipes Instruments CDs

falling through time  (1996) won a Queensland Recording Industry Award in 1996 for Best Folk/other Album. It explores the medieval, Renaissance and folk repertoire, from 12th century troubadour songs through beautiful songs by Machaut, to 15th century French and Spanish dance music and English lute songs by Henry VIII and John Dowland. All performed on a large variety of mediaeval instruments including the lute, harp, fiddle, bagpipes and gittern.

“... one of the most delightful (discs) I have ever heard ... This is one CD which is worth whatever it costs.”

Society of Recorder Players SA

“The voices combine beautifully and provide such expression, clarity and contrasts of sounds ... I would recommend adding Pastance to your collection.”
